Project Overview

The Meridian Sky Plaza is a landmark 24-story corporate tower located in the commercial heart of Agrabad, Chattogram. Designed as a "Grade A" office space, the building required a high-traffic vertical transportation solution that reflected the prestige of its multinational tenants while providing the smoothest ride quality available in the market.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was managing the heavy morning and lunch-hour surges typical of a financial district. The developer also requested a "showpiece" glass elevator on the exterior that could withstand the high humidity and coastal winds of the Chattogram port area without compromising on safety or speed.

Our Solution

We installed a synchronized system of 6 high-performance elevators specifically engineered for durability and efficiency. Our team focused on a hybrid approach to solve both the aesthetic and logistical needs of the tower:

Architectural Focus: We installed two Panoramic Elevators with custom curved-glass cabins, providing a breathtaking view of the Bay of Bengal while maintaining whisper-quiet operation.
Intelligent Logistics: To handle peak traffic, we implemented a Destination Control System (DCS), which groups passengers by floor and has successfully reduced average waiting times by 40%.
Mechanical Excellence: Using Mitsubishi’s PM Motor technology, we achieved a vibration-free experience so smooth that a coin can stand on its edge during full-speed travel.
Industrial Strength: A heavy-duty Service Elevator was integrated with reinforced flooring and widened doors to handle office furniture and maintenance equipment without affecting the executive passenger flow.
